This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Service.
Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).
Usage Data is data collected automatically either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When you connect third-party accounts to the Service (such as YouTube), we retrieve and store information from those platforms on your behalf. This may include channel information, video metadata (titles, descriptions, publish dates), playlist data, and video transcripts. This data is used solely to provide the Service's core features, such as generating summaries and analysis of content you choose to process.
Data obtained through Google APIs, including YouTube account data such as channel information, video metadata, playlist data, and transcripts, is used exclusively to provide the TubeZen features you have requested. We do not sell, transfer, or use this data for advertising, remarketing, AI model training, credit assessment, data brokering, or any purpose unrelated to delivering the Service directly to you. Google user data is never used to serve targeted or interest-based advertisements.
Our Service uses YouTube API Services. By using our Service, you are agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy. When you connect your YouTube account to our Service, you authorize us to access your YouTube data as described in this Privacy Policy. You can revoke this authorization at any time through your Google account settings.
The Service uses third-party artificial intelligence providers to generate summaries, transcripts, tags, scores, and other analysis of content. When content is processed by AI, we send only content-related data to these providers, such as video titles, transcripts, and categorical tags. We do not send your personal information (name, email, billing details, or any other personally identifiable information) to AI providers. Your personal data remains on our servers and is never shared with AI processing services. Where content processed by AI providers was obtained via Google APIs, such processing is solely for the purpose of generating the summaries and analysis features requested by you, and for no other purpose. Data obtained via Google APIs is never used to train AI models.
You can connect AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Gemini CLI and Cursor to your TubeZen workspace using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). You make a connection by signing in to TubeZen from the assistant and approving access. Each connection is limited to a single workspace that you choose when you approve it.
What a connected assistant can access: the videos and podcast episodes saved in the authorized workspace, including their titles, channel and show names, tags, AI-generated summaries and, where your plan includes them, transcripts. A connected assistant cannot access other workspaces, your billing or payment details, your password, your email address or your Google account credentials.
What a connected assistant can change: nothing. Every connector tool only reads data. A connected assistant cannot save, edit, tag or delete anything in your workspace.
What we receive and store: we do not receive your conversations with the AI assistant. We only receive the specific requests the assistant makes to our connector, such as a search phrase or the identifier of a saved video. We use each request to return results and do not keep a record of its contents. For a search by meaning, the search phrase is sent to our AI embeddings provider to find matching content; it contains no personal information unless you include some in your question. For each connection we store which application is connected, the workspace it can read, and when it was connected and last used, so that you can review and disconnect it.
Data shared with your AI provider: results returned by our connector are delivered to the AI assistant you connected, such as Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (ChatGPT), Google (Gemini) or Cursor, at your direction. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies and your agreement with them. We do not sell data accessed through connectors, and content obtained via Google APIs is provided through connectors only to deliver the features you request.
Revoking access: you can disconnect at any time by removing the connector in your AI assistant's settings, or by clicking Disconnect on the AI Connection page in your TubeZen dashboard, which immediately revokes the assistant's access. Setup instructions are in our AI assistant setup guide.
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information.
Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Service.
You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.

Google AdWords remarketing service is provided by Google Inc. We will not store or collect your payment card details.
